The third graders at HES have much to look forward to in the new year. We are completing our study of writing informational text and will create our own books in the coming weeks. The children did a fantastic job of picking their topics, researching and elaborating on what they know.
In science we have started our fabulous unit on space. The students are all excited to learn more about this topic and we are all looking forward to Space Day at the end of this unit of study.
Our Memory Scrapbook entries should be a bit longer and more detailed as we head into the second half of the year. In addition, the focus should be on one specific small moment in time as opposed to a list of the day's activities.
Please keep your eyes out for information on an upcoming field trip and our third grade show as both will take place in February.
